Long-time friends and collaborators, Henry Franklin (The Skipper) and Carl Burnett were at one point together with Gene Harris' renowned trio "3 Sounds" and on the release of Soul Symphony. The idea arose to give rebirth to this time and the great Gene Harris by creating "3 More Sounds". This freshman release does the job well. You'll love some of the original tunes by the band members along with a couple of other standards. We hope this tri hangs around a good long while!

3 More Sounds was created as a tribute to pianist Gene Harris' group, The 3 Sounds. From 1969-1970, Henry Franklin, "The Skipper", on bass and Carl Burnett on drums joined the trio and released several albums, including "Soul Symphony" and "Live at the IT Club". Robert Turner on piano is an amazing fit in being true to Gene's style with a fresh feel. ... more
